Buddy Program

Choose a trusted friend to support your de-addiction journey.

The Buddy Program is a crucial component of the Prarambh Life program, designed to provide additional support and encouragement throughout your recovery journey. The Buddy Program integrates trusted individuals into your healing process, which provides emotional support and a framework for accountability on your recovery journey.

Here is how the Buddy Program works:

Choose Your Buddy

The Buddy Program allows you to select a trusted friend, family member, or close ally to be your Buddy by the end of the first module. The Buddy plays a vital role in your journey, offering emotional support and helping you stay focused and motivated during the recovery process.

Buddy Access

A distinctive advantage of the Buddy Program is that besides just selecting someone to be a buddy on your journey, your buddy will also have access to a free, exclusive course that helps them assist you effectively. The course ensures that your Buddy is well-equipped with the tools and resources to support you effectively in your recovery.

Ongoing Support

The Buddy System fosters a supportive relationship helping you stay accountable and motivated on your recovery journey. If you don’t have a Buddy, the program offers the alternative option connect with a counselor through the Solh app for continuous support.

Addiction in the Modern World and Prarambh Life

As a Buddy in the Prarambh Life program, you play a vital role in supporting your friend through their recovery journey, offering emotional and practical support. Here’s what you gain and how you can effectively provide the proper support:

What the Buddy Gets:

  • Exclusive Buddy Course Access: You will receive access to a free, specialized course designed just for Buddies. This course equips you with knowledge and tools to better understand the recovery process and provide the right kind of support.
  • Understanding Key Concepts: The Buddy course will guide you through the core components of the Prarambh Life program, helping you understand the challenges your friend is facing. This will enable you to relate to and empathize with their situation more effectively, in addition to taking care of your own mental health
  • Emotional Support Training: You’ll learn techniques on how to be emotionally available for your friend, whether it's through active listening, offering encouragement, or simply being present during tough times. This will help you to provide the right kind of emotional support.
  • Motivation & Accountability Tools: The course will also train you to offer motivational support, helping your friend stay committed to their goals and recovery milestones. You will also learn ways to help them maintain accountability without being overbearing.
  • Conflict Resolution Techniques: You'll gain insights into managing potential conflicts or setbacks in your relationship with your friend as they go through difficult phases of recovery. The training will teach you to handle these situations with patience and care.

How the Buddy Provides Support:

A Buddy in the Prarambh Life program holds a crucial role in offering support and encouragement to their friend in the recovery journey. Here’s how the Buddy provides support:

  • Regular Check-ins: Your role involves maintaining consistent communication with your friend, checking in on their progress, and ensuring they stay motivated through the de-addiction journey.
  • Encouragement & Empathy: You will offer emotional support by actively listening to your friend’s concerns and empathizing with their struggles. No matter how small, celebrate your friend’s successes to boost their confidence and morale.
  • Helping with Program Adherence: Encourage your friend to stay on track with their Prarambh Life program. Use the tools from your Buddy course to gently remind them of their goals when they seem to drift away track.
  • Offering a Non-Judgmental Space: Recovery can be tough, and your friend may have setbacks. Your job as a Buddy is to offer them a safe, non-judgmental space where they can share their feelings openly without fear of criticism.
  • Collaborating with Counselors (if needed): If your friend doesn't have a Buddy or if additional support is required, connect with counselors through the Solh app. This ensures they have continuous, professional guidance alongside your support.

As a Buddy, you are more than just a friend—you’re an active participant in your friend’s growth and healing. Your support, guided by the course, can make a huge difference in helping them stay resilient and focused on recovery.
